Ratna Ling Retreat Center

Ratna Ling Retreat Center hosts a variety of individual and group retreats, giving the staff a unique opportunity to work with and learn from teachers and individuals from around the world with a multitude of talents to share.  Our volunteers are motivated by the knowledge that the proceeds from the retreat center go toward the Yeshe De text preservation and other projects founded under the Tibetan Nyingma Meditation Center.

Volunteers who work at the lodge are involved in all of the services related to hospitality and the operation of the retreat center. This includes reservations, group retreat coordination, marketing, kitchen, maintenance, garden, and our wellness center.

Each individual is asked to reach out and extend their own unique skills and energies to care for the task at hand until the job is finished. Our goal is to support one another and to see each moment as an opportunity to make a cooperative offering to our community and our guests.

We are looking for volunteers who are flexible, enjoy working independently as well as part of a team, in good physical health, and who would enjoy creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for our guests and community. Due to the nature of guest services and the hours we work, break times and days off may vary and don’t conform to a regular schedule.

Retreat center volunteers can directly engage the challenges that work presents, such as deadlines, resistance, restlessness or frustration. When we can connect to what we are doing in each moment, no matter what the task, we are applying our community practice of Skillful Means, which generates an attitude of integrity, appreciation, honesty, and joy.
