GARDENER
We have an immediate need for help in our large organic vegetable garden. Our head gardener needs extra hands to keep the produce flowing from the farm to the table in our retreat center! The unique part of this work is that during retreats, primarily on weekends, the garden crew often helps the lodge retreat support team with active retreat tasks, like setting up the buffet for meals, cleaning up after breakfast, and responding to requests from guests. Some garden/farm experience is preferred.
RETREAT SUPPORT (LODGE) TEAM:
Put your creativity, computer skills and personable manner to work in caring for retreat guests. Not just an office job-enjoy the fresh air and get exercise while working in the gardens and on other projects. At the end of the week, prepare for the retreat. During retreats (usually on weekends), the garden crew often helps with active retreat tasks.
Whether in the office or in the garden, flexible, hard working individuals who work well on their own or with others in a team will thrive in these volunteer opportunities.

MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSKEEPER
This full-time residential volunteer opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys property maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate is flexible, steady, hard-working, comfortable asking for assistance, and happy to work alone on a project as well as to work with others. Some related experience, even with personal DIY projects, desired. On the job training is provided as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Emergency fixes, utility failures, critical small jobs, ensuring safety of residents
- Clearing roads of downed trees and other large debris, leaks, appliance repairs, irrigation repairs, tool repairs, building repairs
- Groundskeeping, Vehicle repairs, AV system maintenance, testing, and repair, non-critical repairs of furniture and some tools
- Scheduled maintenance of cottages, lodge, and conference center, vehicles, tools

COMMUNITY COOK – Volunteer position
We are looking for a talented, organized cook for our vegetarian volunteer community. Experience with large quantity cooking helpful, but not required. Responsible for cooking 1-2 meals Monday-Friday, (Saturday as needed); ordering and receiving food deliveries; kitchen cleanliness; assisting professional retreat cooks.
